Deirdre Darden

Deirdre Darden is an independent curator and arts administrator born and raised on art in Washington DC. She has curated exhibitions since 2014 at many galleries such as DCAC, Galerie Myrtis (Baltimore), Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Center, Brentwood Arts Exchange, and Tephra Contemporary (Reston, VA); focusing primarily on themes of race, rest, societal pressures, black womanhood, and the ultimate power of art. Deirdre has also served on curatorial teams for Art on the Vine (Martha’s Vineyard), Eaton Workshop, and the 11th Street Bridge Park. Since 2022 Deirdre has served as a Public Art Coordinator for the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities.
