Stephanie A. Kimou (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist who explores the intersections of decolonization, identity, and environmental justice. Through projects like The Colonizer’s Trash, Kimou uses physical objects and immersive storytelling to critique the legacies of colonialism while inviting collective reflection and healing. Grounded in Black feminist thought and inspired by themes of personal introspection and liberation, her art challenges audiences to confront inherited contradictions and reimagine themselves outside of a colonial paradigm.
