Sobia Ahmad (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice explores the transcendental power of everyday experiences, objects, and rituals through photography, time-based media, and social engagement. Her process-based work engages with themes of relationality, embodied knowledge, material experimentation, and DIY ethos. Ahmad’s work has been exhibited internationally including at the Johnson Museum of Art at Cornell University, Craft Contemporary, and Engauge Experimental Film Festival. Ahmad attended the SOMA Summer 2024 Residency in Mexico City and is a 2024-26 Hamiltonian Artists Fellow.
