Jackie Hoysted

Last updated: March 2026

Jackie Hoysted (she/her) is a multimedia artist whose interdisciplinary practice explores urgent sociopolitical themes through the lens of ecological interconnectedness. Working across mixed media, electronics, and participatory installations, she creates immersive environments that examine relationships among humans, other living beings, and the natural world. Hoysted holds a fine arts degree from GW’s Corcoran School of the Arts & Design, a background in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, and an Information Visualization Specialization Certificate from NYU. This interdisciplinary foundation enables her to integrate biofeedback technologies, audio-reactive systems, and environmental research into works that challenge dominant narratives of isolation and hierarchy. Jackie’s work has been exhibited at The Kennedy Center, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center.
