Benny Shaffer

Benny Shaffer (he/him) is an anthropologist, curator, and filmmaker who works at the intersection of experimental cinema, site-specific installation, and socially engaged art. As a curator and filmmaker, he has worked with Harvard Art Museums, ICA Boston, UnionDocs, Mattress Factory, and Art Institute of Chicago. He holds a PhD in Social Anthropology and Critical Media Practice from Harvard University, where he was a Film Study Center fellow and a member of the Sensory Ethnography Lab.
