Cut/Across, cross-cultural exhibition of three artists’ groups: Black Artists/White Artists (BAWA); The Latinegro Theater Collective, and Seoul House (Korean Outpost). An interdisciplinary look at issues of cultural, community, and racial identity. Includes workshop, installations, performances, lectures, panel discussions, and catalogue with essays by Mel Watkins, Judith Wilson, Olivia Cadaval, Margo Machida, and Maurice Berger.
Artists include Quique Aviles, Judy Byron, Y. David Chung, Chasen Gaver, Clearance Giddons (Black Elvis), Mario Gonzalez, Fracaswell Hyman, Pooh Johnston, Liz Lerman, Leslie Lewis, Dumah Muhammad, Jennifer Nelson, Oscar Osorio, Carol Penn, Rene Horacio Quintanilla, Rick Reinhard, Rebecca Rice, Jon Spelman, Garth Tate, and Charles Tobermann.
