2018 WPA Auction Gala

In its 37th year, the WPA Auction Gala is one of DC’s most highly anticipated art events. The evening includes cocktails, dinner, dessert, a silent auction of more than 200 artworks, and a DJ-fueled dance party. It is the primary way the WPA raises funds for its artist-driven exhibitions, programs, and projects, and sales are split 50-50 with the artists.
This year WPA invited a national art committee of six artists, collectors, and curators to help identify the artists whose work would be presented in the silent auction. We are grateful for their expertise. The Art Committee includes Edgar Arceneaux, artist, LA; Mark Beasley, Curator of Media and Performance, Hirshhorn, DC; Jocelyn Miller, Assistant Curator, MoMA PS1, NYC; Frederick P. Ognibene, M.D., collector, DC; Jessica Stafford Davis, collector and founder, The Agora Culture, DC; Renée Stout, artist, DC
