Lobby Project: Amanda Burnham

Burnham’s site-specific installation reflected the topography, cultural character, and landmarks, both past and present, of the NoMa neighborhood. Burnham’s layered drawings evoke a balanced tension between her loose, gestural imagery and the architecture of the places and objects she portrays. Gleaned through walks and bicycle rides through the neighborhood, the artist presented a uniquely personal representation of a neighborhood being transformed.
