Next to Last
Out from under the dark cloud of press that surrounds The Corcoran College of Art and Design,
a light of hope for the future of the American Genius shines through. Despite the weight of the
unknown future of their soon to be alma mater, the graduating class of 2014 Fine Art seniors
soldier on with new work.
On the other side of thesis exhibitions (annually titled NEXT), but still under the covering of The Corcoran’s tutelage, Next to Last is on display at the Capitol Skyline Hotel, from April 24 – May 1, 2014. Generously sponsored by the Washington Project for the Arts, and with Danielle
O’Steen (Curator of American University’s show Brink and Boundary) as a guest critic, the show will hang throughout the hotel property with opening and closing performances.
