Contemporary African Artists: Changing Tradition

A major travelling exhibition organized by the Studio Museum of Harlem including over 70 recent works by nine artists from six sub-Saharan African countries. The exhibition examined the influences on contemporary African artists such as cosmology, myths, folktales, and the impact of Western forms and techniques.
